7 key learning metrics that’ll help prove ROI

Finding tangible value in Learning & Development (L&D) efforts is challenging at the best of times. But the task is made 10 times harder by how upper management perceive those efforts.

According to LinkedIn’s first Workplace Learning Report, only 8% of CEOs say their Learning & Development (L&D) strategy has a noticeable impact on their company. Even fewer CEOs (4%) see clear Return on Investment (ROI) from employee training.

The more a business leader struggles to see value in L&D efforts, the less likely you, as L&D leaders, are to get sign-off on a budget for more training programmes.

The good news is that CEOs’ opinions can be swayed – and the way to do that lies in how you report on the impact of your training programmes.
